Motorola Edge Plus: Motorola is back with a flagship flagship that no one really expected!

Motorola returns to premium phones with the Edge Plus smartphone!

Motorola Edge Plus has 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, processor Snapdragon 865, 5G network support, 12 GB of RAM, 265 GB of internal memory, battery with 5,000 mAh and even 3.5 mm headphone jack. There is no shortage of threads triple rear camera system, where sensor s leads 108MP, which (at least on paper) competes with phones like the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra or the Xiaomi Mi Mix Alpha. An impressive list of specifications, especially for a company that has become best known for making the best budget phones in recent years.

The 6.7-inch display (the largest Motorola has ever introduced on a phone) is one of the areas where the company stands out as a major differentiator, introducing you edge screen ("edge display"). While curved screens are nothing new – Samsung and OnePlus have been using them for years – Motorola has introduced a more aggressive design similar to that used by companies like Oppo and Vivo. At Motorola, they claim that the screen curves down at almost a 90-degree angle!

The edge screen is supposed to have that some unique uses. Thus, e.g. turns on or lights up for notifications and alarms, or shows the percentage of battery charge during charging itself. There will also even be some gestures that take advantage of this screen addition, and gamers will be able to use it to virtual "game board".

Another major feature that they focus on at Motorola is camera that boasts a 108 MP sensor and takes a 27MP photo by default with Quad Pixel technology (in theory, of course, you can take a photo with all 108MP available). Also, Motorola Edge Plus is capable of recording video in 6K. All this is joined by: an 8 MP telephoto lens with optical image stabilization, which promises 3x optical zoom; a 16 MP ultra-wide camera that captures close-up details with the help of the macro function; ToF sensor; and the front camera with 25 MP.

They introduced the Motorola Edge Plus also the Edge model, which has the same design (6.7-inch edge-to-edge display), but the technical specifications are a step back.

The processor is a Snapdragon 765, instead of the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 865 found in the Edge Plus. It has only 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The battery is also smaller, its capacity is 4,500 mAh, and it also does not support wireless charging. Even cameras with slightly worse: the main sensor has 64 MP, while the 8MP telephoto can only capture 2x optical zoom and lacks image stabilization. The ultra-wide camera and ToF are said to be the same on both models.

The smartphones are expected to hit store shelves around the world this summer, and the price for the Edge Plus will be around 950 euros.
