Komedija solz is a Slovenian film directed by Marko Sosič about the angry, cynical, choleric and racist Albert, an old man in a wheelchair living in Trieste, whose head revolves around unresolved relationships with his family and his relationship with a woman from Istria who goes to clean for him and to cook.
Slovenian film Comedy of tears is the directorial debut of the award-winning writer and director Marko Sosič, who has so far written four novels and two collections of short stories. The script for the film began to meander through his novel Who come from afar to my vicinity, in which it took shape the character of the protagonist of the film The Comedy of Tears.

That is Albert, old a man confined to a wheelchair and a slave to unresolved relationships with an estranged family. They represent his only contact with the outside world in a large apartment in Trieste Ida, a woman who visits him twice a week to cook, clean and wash him, and observation through the window. Despite Ida's kindness, Albert fluent, cynical, but more and more often he has to endure his more and more gross outages. With bitter humor through the film, which has already received a series of film awards, Sošić holds up a mirror to modern society.
