After a long time, Mazda really paid attention to its legendary pick-up with the rather awkward but legendary name BT-50. It is the third generation with a completely new design.
As we could expect, they are at Mazda preserved the protective style signature Kodo, which makes it have a new Mazda BT-50 an extraordinary number of features that are also common to SUVs in its ranks. So this is one of the more dynamically and sportily designed pick-ups at the moment. At the time of its launch, it was available in a double cab version, which is also the form most sought after by customers.
Mazda took the model platform as a basis Isuzu D-Max, with which it shares a large amount of DNA. But it also uses other engines and abandons the Ford cavalry. Thus, under the hood breathes a four-cylinder 3.0-liter turbodiesel engine with 188 horsepower (140 kilowatts) and 450 newton meters, which is the most universal choice for this type of vehicle.
Power is sent to the wheels via a six-speed manual or automatic gearbox, which is available in combination with 4×4 and 4×2 drivetrains.
Inside, Mazda's philosophy prevails, and it also shares an infotainment system with Isuzu. A Mazda's proverbial excellence still dominates.
It is necessary to admit that it looks very interesting. We will also be happy with the model in Slovenia, to the extent that the importer perceives a market need for this type of vehicle.
