Nissan Sway – Nissan's vision of a modern interpretation of the Micra

Nissan Sway

After some "teaser" photos, Nissan has published and presented a study of a modern city car that suggests what the next generation of the nissan micre could look like. The Nissan sway brings an advanced pillar-less design and door-to-door opening. It is characterized by sharp lines, an inflated hood, sporty bumpers and a rear finish in the form of two large trapezoidal exhaust "trumpets".

At Nissan they say that they are at designing started completely anew and wanted to design an image according to the European clientele, and in favor of greater family usability, they used advanced designs without B-pillar and reverse door opening.

The interior is extremely refined, airy and modern. Ultra-light seats with a visible aluminum structure and a cut steering wheel with a small diameter are special features.

The little thing of more than four meters long sway can be recognized by the imposing engine mask or "grill", which is nicely complemented by the sporty front bumper and two sets of LEDs daily lights. The lines are very sharp and converge to a single point of contact, in the middle of the mask, and the hood is inflated and rolls up several times. Large-diameter rims flaunt on the side and pa floating roof effect, which has been gaining popularity recently and is already becoming a fashion trend. He borrowed boomerang-shaped taillights from the juke, and the two large trapezoidal exhaust pipes, built into an equally dynamically finished bumper.

Inside, too, the designers have rolled up their sleeves and conjured up a modern cabin look with very clean lines that also feels very refined, all centered around a large tablet-sized central display and two switches and a shutter between them, below that. Sway also got very thin and ultra light seats, in which it is clearly visible to the eye aluminum construction, it is also special microfiber upholstery and contrast stitching. Although the vast majority would certainly like to see this kind of Micra start coming off the production lines next year, this will certainly not be the case, however, we are communicating to Nissan the idea that when confirming the production version, they should deviate as little as possible from the concept, since this it looks great.
