Dorayaki pancakes: a recipe for fluffy pancakes that melt in your mouth

If you love pancakes, then you must try the Japanese dorayaki pancakes, which impress with their texture and taste.

Dorayaki pancakes they are a traditional delicacy in the Land of the Rising Sun. These are smaller and thicker pancakes that are eaten as a sandwich in Japan, as sweet adzuki bean paste is spread between two fluffy pancakes. If you don't have this Japanese delicacy on hand, you can also use traditional pancake spreads, such as apricot jam or Nutella.

Dorayaki pancakes are very easy to make - you only need six ingredients that most of you will find in your fridge or pantry! Are you ready?

Recipe for dorayaki pancakes

Ingridients

  • 150 grams of flour
  • 110 grams of sugar
  • 3 tablespoons of water or milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • vegetable oil
  • spread as desired

Preparation

Mix the eggs with sugar and honey and whip them. Dissolve baking soda in water or milk. Mix well and pour the mixture into the eggs. Sift the flour and gradually add it to the eggs while mixing until you get a smooth mixture.

Heat a little vegetable oil in a pan and add the pancake batter - make a circle up to 10 centimeters in diameter. Bake the pancake until bubbles start to appear on the surface. Turn the pancake over and bake until it gets a nice golden brown color on both sides. Repeat the process until you have used up all the pancake batter.

Spread the spread you have chosen generously between two pancakes and serve while still warm. So sweet good run!
