Evolution didn't prepare us to use the snooze button on our phones every morning, but scientists are finding that snoozing the alarm isn't such a bad habit, as it may even make you more intelligent.
There are people who snooze the alarm for at least half an hour before actually getting up. There are also those who rarely hit the snooze button, but they too have probably done so at some point simply had to extend the sleep. And this should not be as bad as it might seem, they note scientist ‒ by moving the alarm, individuals are supposed to led to a completely new way of sleeping and awakening, and they should also become more intelligent.
And why is that? The two scientists say that people who don't get up when their alarm first rings, in fact they listen to their body's needs, which should be reflected in the fact that they will follow their own much sooner ambitions and solved the problems themselves. Such a habit should also help them to become more creative and more independent.
In a similar study conducted by scientists in 1998, they obtained results that match the study of alarm shifting. Researchers tracked the sleeping habits of 1,229 people and the results showed that people who slept eight hours had higher earnings and they are happier.
And how many times do you move it? 🙂
