The exhibition consists of two sets of photographs on the theme of the remains of former civilizations and settlements, and the curator Marija Skočir said about it, among other things: "A photographer is the one who, through his lens, can introduce stories and feelings into completely ordinary scenes that surround us. He can catch views of them in a different light and from his own point of view.

The ruins and remnants of the past are sometimes more, sometimes less monumental stacks of stones and earth; therefore, they are a particularly interesting challenge for a photographer who wants to connect through images the stories of people who walked past here once and who are hurrying past the ruins today." At the exhibition, visitors to the Jakopič Promenade will be able to view a curatorial selection of six photographic series of authorial and documentary photographs taken by Matevž Paternoster, Matjaž Kačičnik, Marko Hutter and Damjan Gale, as well as photographs selected in the Ostanki mesta + Foto Emona competition.
