Swedish electric car manufacturer Polestar announces the release Polestar 2 BST 230, a limited edition high-performance version of the Polestar 2, featuring an upgraded chassis, distinctive paint options and premium performance specifications.
Swedish electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Polestar has unveiled the latest addition to its Polestar Engineered line, Polestar 2 BST edition 230, a limited-edition, high-performance version of the original Polestar 2. As a follow-up to the previously released BST Edition 270, only 230 units of this exclusive electric vehicle will be produced for the European and North American markets.
Polestar 2 BST edition 230 it features the same upgraded chassis and performance-oriented design details as its predecessor, including a 25-millimeter lower ride height, two-way adjustable Öhlins shocks, a front anti-roll bar, 20 percent stiffer springs and unique 21-inch alloy wheels. The black diamond-cut rims are wrapped in specially developed 245/35R21 Pirelli P Zero high-performance car tires for excellent road grip and handling.
Under the hood, the twin-motor electric powertrain delivers an impressive 350 kilowatts (469 horsepower) and 680 newton meters (501 pound-feet) of torque. This combination allows the EV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 4.4 seconds, with a top speed of 205 km/h (127 mph).
For superior stopping power, the BST edition 230 features Brembo 4-piston drilled and ventilated front brake discs with a diameter of 400 millimeters (15.7 inches), in addition to the standard single-piston ventilated rear discs with a diameter of 390 millimeters (15.3 inches).
Aesthetically, the limited edition EV boasts an exclusive Nebula Green paint, with the option of Space Black as an alternative. Interior highlights include MicroSuede textile for the seats and steering wheel inserts made from partially recycled Nubuck textile. An optional full-length stripe is available for any body color, adding to the vehicle's unique appeal.
According to Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath, "limited drops like the BST edition 230 allow us to explore colors, graphics and materials in faster and more creative ways." Other visual enhancements include body-colored sills and trims and high-gloss black mirror caps.
