Are you a fan of gin and tonic and looking for a new way to enjoy this popular drink? Try a gin and tonic muffin. We reveal the recipe for the dessert in the post.
Ingredients
- Ingredients for the dough:
- 3 large eggs
- 10 dag of sugar
- 10 dag of butter
- 20 dag of sharp flour
- 1 small teaspoon of baking powder
- 3 tablespoons of gin Ingredients for gin and tonic cream:
- 10 dag butter at room temperature
- 30 dag of powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons of gin
- 3 tablespoons of tonic
Directions
- First, prepare the dough mixture. Melt the butter and let it cool a little. Crack the eggs and put them in a mixing bowl. Add the sugar and mix for five minutes until the eggs become pale and the mixture thick and foamy.
- Slowly pour the cooled butter into the mixture and gently mix it with a kitchen spoon or spatula. Then stir in another three tablespoons of gin. At the end, slowly add the flour into which you previously mixed the baking powder.
- Divide the dough into muffin molds as desired. Bake for about 15 minutes at a temperature of 180 degrees until the dough turns golden brown.
- While the muffins are cooling, prepare the cream. Beat room temperature butter with a mixer for 2-3 minutes. Then gradually add powdered sugar to the butter and continue mixing. After mixing in the sugar, add the gin and tonic by spoonfuls. Stir the cream well after each spoonful added.
- When the cream is ready, place it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
- Put the cream in a decorating bag and use it to decorate the muffins. If desired, you can also add cream and crumbs of different colors at the end.
