Recipe: rosé wine gummy bears

One of the favorite summer refreshments, besides many cocktails, sangria and fruit snacks, is definitely a well-chilled rose wine. We love it in all forms, but we also love pink champagne. The delicate pink color, light fruity taste and aroma take us already to summer evenings. We came across a new bestseller, this time in combination with rosé wine. You only need three ingredients to make gummy candies.

Ingredients

  • 480 ml of rosé
  • 50 g gelatin powder (unflavored)
  • 200 g of sugar
  • 1 drop of pink food coloring, optional

Directions

  1. Pour 240 ml of rosé into a small pot. Bring to a boil and cook for about 5 minutes. Then remove the pot from the heat.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the powdered gelatin and the remaining rose wine. Let stand for 5 minutes to allow the mixture to thicken.
  3. Add the gelatin mixture to the pot in which the rosé is boiling. Add the sugar and stir constantly over medium heat. Do not let the mixture boil.
  4. Cook until the gelatin is completely dissolved. The mixture should have a syrupy consistency, similar to maple syrup.
  5. Remove the pan from the heat. Add a drop of pink food coloring if desired.
  6. Use a squeeze bottle or dropper to distribute the mixture into the teddy bear molds. If you don't have teddy bear molds, you can use ice molds.
  7. Refrigerate for at least an hour to harden the bears.
  8. Carefully remove the bears from the mold. You can store them in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
