Ingredients

  • 1 skinless chicken fillet, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • Breading ingredients:
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon of onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons of mustard
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • oil for frying

Directions

  1. First prepare the chicken. Add the chopped chicken fillet, egg, salt and pepper to the blender. Mix until the chicken reaches a paste consistency.
  2. Form nuggets. Use a spoon or fork to scoop up the chicken mixture and form a nugget. Sprinkle them with cornstarch and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Prepare the breading mass. In a large bowl, add the water, egg, flour, onion powder, garlic powder, mustard, salt and pepper. Mix until the ingredients are completely combined.
  4. Dip each chicken nugget into the breading mixture. Make sure the nugget is completely submerged in the mixture so that it is surrounded on both sides. Then return them to the baking sheet until they are all done. Place them in the freezer for 2 hours before frying.
  5. After 2 hours: In a deep pan add enough frying oil to cover them - about 2.5 cm of oil.
  6. Heat the oil on the stove. When the oil is hot, fry the frozen nuggets in batches (not too crowded) for about 4 minutes or until golden brown. Then remove them from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.

How to bake nuggets in an airfryer?

Bake them at 200°C for about 10-12 minutes and turn them once. Serve with any sauce and side dishes you like.
