Ingredients

  • 250 g of flour
  • 100 g of sugar
  • 1 bag of vanilla sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 liter of milk
  • 125 g of butter
  • 1/2 bag of dry yeast
  • a pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Sift the flour and vanilla sugar into a mixing bowl. Make a hole in the center and add the egg. Blend until you get a smooth mixture.
  2. In another bowl, melt the butter and then add it to the bowl with the flour and egg mixture.
  3. Add milk and yeast and mix well.
  4. Let the dough rest for about 30 minutes.
  5. Heat up the waffle iron.
  6. Scoop the batter onto the waffle iron and bake for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Serve with your favorite toppings like fresh strawberries, whipped cream or maple syrup.

Serve the waffles sprinkled with powdered sugar, melted chocolate or honey.

Tip: If your waffles stick to the machine, slightly increase the amount of butter in the recipe.
