Of course, pasta with lemon is not a new invention, but a refreshing, fragrant Italian dish, which is known in the world under the name "Pasta al limone". Lemon juice and lemon peel are the key ingredients of this dish. The dish is very easy and quick to prepare.
Pasta with lemon
Ingredients
- 340 g of pasta
- 1 large lemon, juice and zest
- 3 tablespoons of olive oil
- 30 g of Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves of finely chopped garlic
- salt and pepper
- optional: fresh parsley, butter
Directions
- Cook the pasta al dente, drain and reserve ½ cup of the pasta liquid for the sauce.
- Add finely chopped garlic, lemon peel and lemon juice to the heated oil in the pan.
- Add the Parmesan and the water in which you cooked the pasta and season with salt and pepper.
- Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
- Add the pasta and mix well again.
- Serve with fresh parmesan, and you can add butter and fresh parsley if you like. If adding butter, stir until completely melted.
