Škoda Slavia B: an electric fantasy from 1899 – a café racer from a parallel universe

When Škoda puts on a tuxedo and jumps on a motorcycle

In 1899, they still rode with a mustache and a top hat. Now... Škoda is returning to the two-wheeled future with the Škoda Slavia B electric café racer, which smells more like art than petrol. But wait, that's not all.

Friends of old times and digital dreamers, get ready. Too bad, that nice lady from Mladá Boleslav, she went deep into her family album and dug up Škoda Slavia B – the engine with which they Laurin and Klement At the end of the 19th century, she elegantly broke the hearts of the roads and, probably, some young lady too.

Now – boom! In 2025. A Frenchman named Romain Bucaille, who usually grinds the edges on the bodies of Skoda cars, got a burst of imagination and designed something that looks like a cross between a sculpture and a motorcycle. An electric concept that is not ashamed of its roots. On the contrary – it raises them on a pedestal and illuminates them with a neon light.

Ghosts of the past in carbon fiber

The Slavia B concept doesn't try to be just another bike in the series. No, this is a design manifesto. The centerpiece, where the 1.25 horsepower engine would once have roared, is now a void – a Zen sanctuary where the “Laurin & Klement” logo floats. Brilliant. Minimalistic. Almost meditative.

The motorcycle has a “vertical cut” – that line that divides the machine into the front “now” and the rear “then”. The rear with the seat floating over the rear wheel like a stuntman without a safety net, and with a bag that you only see in westerns, completes this two-wheeled poem.

Technical specifications: Zen and artificial mystery

How many horses? We don't know. How many kilometers on a single charge? Shh… secret. Performance? Art doesn't need numbers. What we do know is that the Slavia B isn't here to overtake Teslas or compete with Ducatis. No, the Slavia is here to stop you. To look. To raise an eyebrow and say: "Too bad, what are you doing?"

Conclusion: Too bad you can't buy this

If Laurin and Klement were to rise from their graves today, they would probably ask: “Where can I buy this?” But the answer is unfortunately: nowhere. For now. The Škoda Slavia B is a concept. Maybe it will only remain as a postcard from parallel dimensions, where engines are quieter than thoughts and where industrial design walks the catwalk.

But still – this is a story of audacity. About how a brand known for Octavias and Superbs can transform into something that could easily hang in a modern art museum. Or drive past you while you still wonder if it was really a motorcycle. Or a vision.
