SkyShowtime: a new streaming platform where you can watch "Top Gun: Maverick" and other hits

New streaming service SkyShowtime has today announced that it will officially launch on 20 September 2022, bringing its premium, exclusive and iconic entertainment to millions of homes across Europe for the first time.

Sky Showtime will bring a selection of new blockbusters after their theatrical release and home entertainment, including Top Gun: Maverick, Jurassic World Dominion, Minions: The Rise of Gru, The Northman, Sing 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, The Lost City, Downton Abbey: A New Era, Nope, Belfast, Ambulance and The Bad Guys.

As a joint venture of partners Comcast (NASDAQ: CMCSA) – the parent company of NBCUniversal and Sky – and Paramount Global (NASDAQ: PARA, PARAA), SkyShowtime will launch in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden on September 20, and will expand the service to the Netherlands later in the last quarter . SkyShowtime will continue to operate in Spain, Portugal, Andorra and Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) in the coming months and until the first quarter of 2023. CEE markets include Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. Exact streaming start dates and pricing in these markets will be announced in the coming months.

SkyShowtime brings together the best entertainment from the world's biggest studios and storytellers. The service offers thousands of hours of quality entertainment for the whole family and presents a wide selection of world series and movies that viewers are most eagerly waiting for.

It will carry exclusive television and theatrical premieres of films from Paramount Pictures and Universal Pictures, the two oldest studios in Hollywood, which together bring nearly 50 % of profits to the Hollywood box office.

In addition to the above, SkyShowtime offers new premium scripted series, children's and family content, and a selection of iconic titles from the libraries and packages of films from Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon, DreamWorks Animation, Paramount+, SHOWTIME®, Sky Studios and Peacock - streaming all in one place. SkyShowtime will also feature local original programming, documentaries and specials from its local markets.

In the Nordic markets, SkyShowtime will replace Paramount+ as part of its partnership with Paramount, allowing existing and future customers to watch Paramount+'s current hits like Halo, Yellowstone, The Offer and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, as well as the original SHOWTIME® Yellowjackets , Dexter: New Blood, Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber and The First Lady. For the first time, subscribers will also get access to even more new and exclusive premium series and movies featuring the best from Universal Pictures, SkyOriginals and NBCUniversal.

Since launch, viewers have been able to watch premiere series such as the much-anticipated SHOWTIME® dramas American Gigolo, SkyOriginals The Rising, The Fear Index, The Midwich Cuckoos and Law & Order Season 21 on the Peacock. Additional series premieres in the coming months will include Yellowstone Season 5, Pitch Perfect: Bumper and Berlin, Vampire Academy, SHOWTIME® Yellowjackets Season 2, and Let The Right One In.

The service will be available to the viewer directly through the SkyShowtime app on Apple iOS, tvOS, Android devices and via the website: www.skyshowtime.com. The monthly SkyShowtime subscription will be €6.99 in Finland, SEK 79 in Sweden, NOK 79 in Norway and DKK 69 in Denmark.
