The Slovenian film Dolina miru by France Štiglic celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. On the occasion of this venerable jubilee, the famous European film festival in Cannes will also pay tribute to him, which, as part of this year's program of the presentation of film classics, has placed him alongside world-renowned classics. The war film about two war orphans who lost their parents during the bombing returns to the "scene of the crime", where it competed for the Palme d'Or in 1957. Considered to be the most important and famous film festival in the world, the Cannes International Film Festival starts on the 11th and runs until the 22nd of May 2016.

Dogs of Time is the first Slovenian film noir. The full-length debut of Matej Nahtigal was shot in an independent production based on the book proposal of the same name by Zoran Benčič.
