The Ski Jumping World Cup (FIS) is one of the most massive and recognizable sports events in Slovenia. However, the increased traffic it generates each year puts a strain on the environment that is often overlooked. In cooperation with Planica, Mastercard has designed the SharePlanica.si car-sharing platform in the framework of the SharePlanica.si project in order to reduce the amount of CO2 emissions in personal transport. In addition, Mastercard will restore forests with the Priceless Planet Coalition project to further reduce the CO2 emissions of participants' personal transportation.

But not with the help of augmented reality. A steel cable has been strung over the ski jump of the Gorišek brothers, and the attraction will soon be officially opened. Ziplines are nothing new in Slovenia, but nowhere will you feel like Peter Prevc, Robert Kranjec, Primož Peterka and other jumpers who complete the same route on skis while going down the zipline.

Planica 2016 will take place from Thursday, March 17, 2016, when the qualifications will be held, until Sunday, March 20, 2016, when the curtain will fall on the 2015/16 season in ski jumping with an individual competition. The program will be very varied, and the Slovenian jumpers, led by Peter Prevec, with their exceptional performances, are the best possible invitation to Ponce, where a new sports holiday awaits us. Last year in Planica we saw three Slovenian victories and a heartbreaking playoff, and although it seems that this cannot be surpassed in terms of emotional charge, we can expect an unprecedented spectacle in 2016 as well. Planica 2017 will take place from March 24 to 26, 2017. Last year, an extraordinary 111 thousand spectators gathered in Planica. For the third time, we were able to celebrate the overall victory of Slovenian jumpers in the World Cup. In 1997 and 1998, Primož Peterka finished under Ponci with a big crystal in his hands, and last year the incomparable Peter Prevc repeated this success with a dream season. In 2016, the Slovenians took all the victories from the valley under Poncami, and this year our ski jumpers will be among the favorites in both individual competitions, and we can also hope for a fight for the top in the team competition. The Red Bull 400 Planica is an unforgettable 400 meter race. It sounds simple, but it is more than that: the competitors will compete in a run from the foot to the top of the world-famous Planica ski jump.
