The Tesla Y is the first car in the Tesla range that is suitable for families and directly competes with the Volkswagen ID.4 and Škoda Enyaq. This time also with a price that suddenly became extremely interesting for Slovenians. Namely, Tesla offered a somewhat "tweaked" version on the market and made it cheaper by 11,000 euros. At a time when cars are getting more expensive every day, a great way to boost sales.
Tesla Y was considered the best buy among "large" electric cars even before the price reduction. Namely, the version of the Tesla Y with a twin engine was able to achieve amazing numbers on paper and acceleration from zero to 100 km/h in a mere 5 seconds. The obstacle to success on the Slovenian market was definitely the price, which amounted to 66,990 euros. This time, Tesla offered buyers a version with a single engine and reduced the price of the entry model by a whole lot 11,000 euros. So you can order a Tesla Y for 55,900 euros, which is only a few thousand more than the Tesla Model 3 (prices at the time of writing). In addition to the "Long Range" and "Performance" versions, Tesla also offered a standard version, which is crucial for Slovenian customers and our purchasing power. The car is comparable to some competitors both in terms of "numbers" and price. Namely, the Volkswagen ID.4 and Škoda Enyaq, with comparable equipment, cost around 55,000 euros. Here, it should be emphasized that in the entire industry, Tesla is the one that most obviously dictates trends and creates a very comprehensive e-mobility experience. Unfortunately, the rest of the "players" are still just following this.
