Ideum presented a coffee table with a built-in 46 bar screen at the Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas. The table works like a giant Android tablet and can respond to 60 simultaneous touches.
Company table An idea, named Platform Multitouch Coffee table, boasts a full HD resolution and has a built-in 64-bit Intel processor. The screen is strong enough to withstand the weight of all glasses and cups. At the same time, the screen is also waterproof and therefore protected against spilled drinks. It has 500 GB of built-in storage and all the wireless connections to sync with your devices. Uses technology »multitouch”, i.e. a multi-touch screen contributed by 3M, so it can be used by several people at once. It can also be connected to interactive user applications and multiplayer games.
The Multitouch Coffee Table will be on sale later this year, and although it is primarily intended for owners of cafes and bars, we see no reason why it should not also deserve a place of honor in our living room.
