The H&M Spring 2021 collection encourages innovation in sustainability

Sporty minimalism from the 1990s

With a collection full of sporty and minimalist elements from the 90s, the key pieces of the H&M Spring 2021 collection are a cropped sleeveless hoodie, a beautiful dress with tie straps and side detailing and a denim vest with pockets. The collection will be available from March 25 in stores and on hm.com.

It is for spring 2021 H&M has taken another bold step in its sustainability efforts by creating new innovative materials such as Agraloop Biofibre, which has grown in scope and quantity since its first introduction in the H&M range. After its launch in H&M Conscious Exclusive AW20, Agraloop Biofibre is now also used in the main collections, another innovative example of how Conscious Exclusive is a proven incubator for new technologies and materials. By converting crop waste – in this case hemp seed oil – into natural fibers such as Agraloop Biofibre, this can now be found in several different products, such as a cropped sleeveless hoodie and a lightly structured trench coat.

The rest of the collection features other more sustainable materials, some of which remain undyed, including materials such as organic cotton, denim, poplin and organic linen, reflecting H&M's ambitious goal of using only 100 -% recycled or other sustainable materials.

Collection H&M Spring 2021 otherwise, it draws inspiration from the minimalist nonchalance of the 90s and plays with volume and a touch of simple tailoring. Key pieces in the collection include dresses, tank tops, single-breasted blazers, shorts with elasticated waistbands, denim trousers and a trench coat. The calm and neutral color palette of the collection - beige, ecru, gray and black - enables many combinations of personal styles.
