Today I will try to prove that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra is the most multifunctional phone in the world. The mission is not difficult, because Samsung gives the phones to which it gives the word Ultra all the functions and features that are possible today in smartphones. The word Ultra today means the same as the word Note used to mean. Let's see!
Last year, Samsung didn't launch a new Galaxy Note brand phone, and many fans of this really best multi-functional smartphone were a bit disappointed.
In all probability, when developing the Galaxy S22 series of phones, Samsung realized that the Ultra and Note phones are very similar and that the only real difference between them is the S pen. My guess is that at some point they simply decided to somehow combine them into the Galaxy S22 series of phones. The word Ultra actually means Note. So the top range of Samsung smartphones. It seems to me that it is. Also because the Galaxy S series is at the center and top of the range of all phones powered by the Android operating system.
So the old smartphone king of the Android world is returning to his throne. I emphasize this due to the fact that it is actually the phone that traditionally offers the most features in one phone. In addition to the traditionally excellent photography, it offers one of the best screens in the industry and all the other touches that are at the highest level. Of course, a magic pen as well! Everyone loves him, if only he gives him the chance to convince him.

#Oforming
To all those who loved the design approaches of the Note series, you will immediately recognize the newcomer by the structure of its body. This one is really comparable to its predecessor - that is, the good old Galaxy Note model. The sides of the phone are identical, and the dimensions of the phone have not changed. There is still a screen area that measures diagonally 17.3 cm (6.8 inches). So a huge phone. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan of curved screens, but at the expense of the sophistication of the design, I don't blame this on this phone. The edges are really small. Speaking of the display… let's take a closer look!
#Display
The screen of the smartphone is the most important thing. I always watch most multimedia content right on my phone screen. Be it Youtube or Netflix. Of course, social networks, media and, ultimately, television via the Internet provider's application. And in this segment, Samsung does not give up and has been considered the leader for years! This time it's an AMOLED 2X, 120Hz, HDR10+ screen capable of a high brightness of 1750 cd/m2 (nits). The screen is really bright and easy to read in strong light. The resolution is a good old classic that can handle 1440 px on the narrower side. It "blends" nicely over the entire surface of the front part. Samsung makes no mistakes when it comes to screens and always puts on the market those that are the best in their class at that moment in terms of their characteristics. Perhaps worth highlighting is its ability to adjust screen refresh based on the content on the screen. Thus, 120 Hz is used only when necessary. For example, when playing games and other graphically demanding tasks. It is still the sight of the screen of the S series phones that quietly and quite subtly convinces the user and at the same time gives a sense of the true quality of the whole phone.

The progress in processors in recent years is interesting. If already in 2020 the best smartphones had processors with 7nm construction technology, in 2022 4nm processors will reign in the most modern devices. Basically, this means better energy efficiency and somewhat better data processing capabilities. So – the new processor is called Exynos 2200 and is in 4nm technology. He is accompanied by Xclipse 920 graphics and 8 to 12 GB of working memory. But beware, if you are going to record a lot of video and use 8K resolution, then reach for a phone with a larger memory.
#Battery
There is actually a lot of energy to power this big phone! The Li-ion battery has a capacity of 5000 mAh and fast charging with 45W. And wireless charging with 15W. At the same time, the phone is capable of charging other devices in reverse with 4.5W. Here it is necessary to know that the new processors, i.e. 4 nm processors, consume much less energy than their predecessors. On the other hand, programs are increasingly smarter when it comes to driving the phone's screen, which is the biggest consumer of energy. This is particularly noticeable when adjusting the screen refresh rate. Thus, this battery capacity combined with optimized software operation guarantees carefree use of this phone throughout the day. Of course, I am referring here mainly to those users who spend more than 6 hours a day on their phone.
#Cameras
I will talk about the capabilities and tricks of the cameras in a separate entry. But let me throw some data out there. So the main camera system consists of 4 systems. The main camera with 23mm – i.e. wide-angle – is capable of as much as 108 MP and at the expense of this number of pixels it can capture a huge amount of data. There is also a 230mm telephoto camera that acts as a periscope and allows for 10x classic optical zoom, which is upgraded with ultra digital zoom for the effect of 30x and 100x digital zoom. It is followed by a normal telephoto camera with 70mm and 3x optical zoom. And a 13mm, 120-degree ultra-wide camera with support for super steady video. You will use this for group firefighter pictures. Or action videos. Of course, this crowd is joined by an excellent selfie camera with 40 MP, with the ability to capture 4K video at 60fps. I must not forget the possibility of recording the main camera in 8K, as well as the possibility of professional modes and shooting in RAW format. These make this smartphone an "almost" professional tool for photographers.

Otherwise, the data on paper is very similar to the data that Samsung provided for its "ultra" phone last year. However, it is a lot of micro-improvements, not only hardware but also software.
The main 108MP camera is covered by what Samsung calls Super Clear Glass. Super clear glass covers the front of the main camera, and the wide-angle camera is equipped with a Super clear lens — both of which have an exclusive nano-coating with ultra-low reflection. This specially designed glass and lens reduces lens flare when taking pictures - even in the dark. It is, of course, excellent protection for the camera, which prevents damage and thus reduces various unwanted "flare" effects in photography. So this really interferes with the actual production of great photos.
One of the biggest advances at Samsung is highlighted above all in the program that supports photography. Here, the Galaxy S22 Ultra's camera system provides one of the largest feature sets possible in a smartphone. Thus, the phone becomes a document scanner, a measuring meter, it can record a portrait video, take an excellent night shot, a panorama and has a lot of really interesting tricks. The biggest feature of the Galaxy S22 Ultra is of course the S Pen. This is what has always made the Note series so very special. I could talk about this miracle pen and its tricks for at least half an hour, and it definitely deserves a completely separate entry. In fact, this is an extremely exotic and unique feature of this phone that needs getting used to and mastered. But when you win the S pen, it becomes your best assistant. From the camera's remote trigger, to the record-keeping digital pen, which easily translates your squiggles into digital writing. To the pen for editing photos in Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop. Or a great tool for video editing right on your phone. And thus a professional content creator tool.
S pen is what you will easily fall in love with and what made the "great-grandfather" Galaxy Note so popular with the geek crowd. it simply gives your smartphone a new or different dimension.
#Programs
The new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra runs Android 12 with a definitely extremely refined - One UI 4.1., which in recent years surprises or is even considered the most refined version of this system. At the same time, it extends the support for new devices for a period of 4 years. The One UI environment is extremely intuitive, and over the years it has also been refined in terms of design and user experience. Recently, the biggest differences between manufacturers are precisely in this segment. And here Samsung is definitely the leader. It's about little things and sometimes little hidden sweets that the user has to discover in order to understand the full value of perfection. So I was personally surprised that the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra's camera basically recognizes the image of the document, which, like a dedicated "scanner" application, cuts and saves it. A function that I personally use a lot, but for which I always needed a special application on other smartphones. And there are more of these software capabilities. For example, it is possible to connect the phone to an external monitor and start the "Dex" mode, which turns the phone into a completely "normal" laptop. By connecting a keyboard and mouse, you get a normal computer capable of most office and administrative tasks.
#Conclusion
With the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone, Samsung is the one that sets the standard of what is possible in the industry every year. It is a phone from the very top of the range. But when you think about what is combined in the whole package, it quickly becomes clear to you that a smartphone of this format has become a multi-tasker that replaces a multitude of devices. Personally, I haven't used a camera for family photography for a long time, I don't take a laptop on vacations, I follow the daily news program on my phone, which has thus become my main television. A smartphone, especially one like the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, has simply become an extension of my brain.
