TheQ – the world's first social camera

TheQ - a modern vintage camera

Although it doesn't come from Nikon, Samsung, or Sony, and may have been overlooked even by those who actively follow the field of photography, TheQ deserves some attention.

To begin with, a warning to all photography lovers – theQ deserves some attention, but not from the point of view of the photo itself. It was made by a Swedish company little known to the wider world TheQ and the product called for "the world's first social camera". Joe, Brandon and Andrea came up with the idea while hanging out and realizing that no one is happy with their camera. And they decided to make their own. They founded a company, invested a year of hard work into the idea, and it was born TheQ. The camera is largely created for the purpose of sharing on social networks. This is also what attracts customers most about theQ. Every photo we take can be almost the same moment email, Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Flickr or Tumblr (it's not a mistake that Instagram isn't there). The camera has unlimited online virtual photo album, so we don't need memory cards.

Do you also wonder what more theQ can offer from a smartphone to convince us? Perhaps that "something more" is the fact that it is definitely more suitable for water and rain and for real adventures than a smartphone. The camera is waterproof, so you can share underwater moments with your friends. The goal of the creators and theQ is to make photography simple, fun and accessible for everyone. The camera is, as the company put it, "idiot proof". Better written, easy to use and suitable for everyone.

TheQ comes in nine different colors when described on the website, from mustard to brownie to black coffee. It's priced around $200 and if I'm not mistaken, pretty much every color is sold out right now. It reminds of a new trend when all classmates will have the same camera and when it will matter most what color someone has. Even their motto coincides with this image. Shut up and paint. Or in the original: Shut up and shot.
