The Holiday (2006)

The two women, who have never met and who live thousands of kilometers apart, find themselves in the same predicament: just before the Christmas holidays, they are lonely and disillusioned. So, through a home exchange website, they agree to swap houses for the holidays. Iris moves into Amanda's home in Los Angeles, and Amanda goes to the English countryside and moves into an idyllic cottage in the middle of snowy fields.
