Toyota GR HV Sports: Toyota presents a sports concept

Recently, Toyota announced the introduction of GR models into its range. GR-cars will represent more sport-oriented versions of conventional models, which will thus be even more attractive to buyers. The latest Toyota GR HV Sports concept suggests just this sportiness, and perhaps also the successor to the Toyota GT86.

Toyota GR HV Sport Concept will be presented in detail at Tokyo Motor Show. Two-seater athlete with a front-mounted engine, rear-wheel drive and a targa roof, it takes its design cues from the sports-hybrid racer TS050, with which Toyota competes in endurance racing. The greatest connection is found in the front ones LED headlights, which instantly catch the eye with their unusual layout. They even found inspiration in the racing car for the design of the rims and the rear spoiler for the GR HV concept. And looking at Toyota's latest concept from the side, we can't help but compare it to the current one GT86. The side line is almost the same, but both the front and rear parts have been visually changed. Since the concept has a targa body shape, the place where the roof used to be is now gaping a hole.

To the GR HV concept car matte black color it still fits, all the more so because of the openings in the engine cover, which ensure adequate ventilation of the engine part hybrid drive. Batteries are stored at the rear part of the bottom of the car, which lowers the center of gravity and increases driving fun. And the candies inside? Probably the first automatic transmission that can also you shift manually, as you would shift a real manual transmission, not just with plus and minus buttons or steering wheel-mounted levers. But that's not all! At the top of the gear lever is a button to start and stop the engine, which is hidden under the cover, like the hidden switches in military aircraft. With the help of this button, every one of us will be able to turn into a Top Gun star from time to time.
