Volkswagen has set new boundaries in the electric vehicle segment with the ID.7 Tourer, presenting the brand's first electric station wagon. This model combines traditional practicality with advanced electrical technology, promising superior comfort and exceptional autonomy. Of course, the car realistically and in the long term replaces the classic Volkswagen Passat.

Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer based on the ID concept. The 2019 Space Vizzion maintains the same external dimensions as the sedan version, but brings more practicality with additional space in the trunk, which is the most important number and is now 605 liters. Despite the same exterior dimensions as the sedan, the ID.7 Tourer offers up to 1,714 liters of luggage space with the seats down, a significant increase over the sedan. Inside the vehicle, we find advanced technologies, including a polymer dispersed liquid crystal (PDLC) panoramic sunroof that allows switching between transparency and opacity. Think of the Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer as a Passat that toasted a little too much on New Year's Eve and woke up as an electric station wagon.

The heart of this electric wagon beats in the form of a rear-mounted electric motor with 282 horsepower (210 kilowatts) and 545 Nm of torque. Two battery variants are promised, the base with 77 kWh and the upgraded Pro S with 86 kWh, providing a range of up to 685 km (426 miles) on the WLTP cycle. If you choose the smaller battery and your charging power will be limited to a modest 175 kW, while the larger pack can handle an impressive 200 kW - it's like choosing between a microwave and a professional oven. Regardless of the choice, the ID.7 Tourer charges its battery from 10 to 80 percent in less than half an hour, almost as fast as your coffee goes lukewarm. Of course, as with any other EV, your range will vary depending on the size of the wheels, which range from a chic 19-inch to a majestic 21-inch – because we know size (wheels) matters. The car is more "sexy" on larger ones.

The interior and exterior are predictable, Volkswagen didn't take any chances. He's like ID.7 who went to the gym and only focused on his upper body, or rather his butt.

The Volkswagen ID.7 Tourer will be manufactured at the Volkswagen plant in Emden, Germany, where the other ID models are also produced. series. Despite its innovation and practicality, Volkswagen has no plans to import this model to the United States at this time.
