Naples - a city of contrasts where Italian cultural heritage meets excellent Neapolitan pizza.

Naples is a place worth visiting just to sit down in one of the cafes, order an excellent coffee and watch the colorful crowd of passers-by. But Naples is not just that, it is a mixture of colorful chaos that clearly works, which you can see for yourself at any moment on one of the city's colorful streets.

The town is located in one of the most beautiful Mediterranean bays, where the lush blue of the Mediterranean and rich vegetation meet. The mighty Vesuvius rises above the chaotic panorama of the town, which once destroyed the prosperity of the Roman rich. Naples is not only a town in itself with its landscape, but also excellent cuisine. Nothing is more famous than the famous Neapolitan pizza, which is truly indispensable here. Once the food of the poor, it has become popular around the world, but you won't find anywhere else as good as what you can taste in Naples.

In the city you can find a lot of attractions, from chapels to statues and shops. However, three famous sights should not be missed:

Gallery Umberto I – a magnificent shopping center, which is classified as a building under UNESCO protection. It was named after an Italian king, and its architectural styles and central glass dome will completely enchant you.

Catacombs – Naples is also famous for what lies beneath the city. You can see the catacombs, where Neapolitans buried their loved ones for many years. The most famous are the catacombs of San Gennaro, which are excavated in accepted volcanic ash.

Royal Palace – the magnificent palace once owned by the Bourbon kings is located next to the famous Piazzi del Plebiscito square. The palace is also home to the famous Teatro di San Carlo, an opera house that is considered to be the oldest continuously active opera house in the world.

The interesting town is full of idyllic accommodations, but the Grand Hotel Santa Lucia stands out in particular, offering luxuriously furnished rooms in which to collapse after a busy day of exploring. It is located right next to the port, in the heart of Naples. It is housed in an impressive Art-Nouveau style villa, and some rooms also boast sea views. A rich breakfast is served in the morning, and the hotel also has a stylish restaurant where you can dine with a view of the harbor. The menu is full of creative culinary creations inspired by Neapolitan tradition.
