Wow, another weekend is upon us - looks like the holidays are on, doesn't it? We have prepared a new plan for a new weekend, which brings new experiences.
FRIDAY
After two weeks of "break" good weather is forecast again cuddling with exotic delicacies, which can be found on Open kitchens on Pogačarjev trg. After chatting with all our friends over a glass of refreshing drink, let's jump home, put on something light and go for a sweat on Wichstock, which is celebrating round this year 20th anniversary and in all its rock grandeur invites old and young to an unforgettable party with the bands Big Foot Mama, Zablujena generacija, Anavrin, Kung Fu Vegan, Sober Assault, Ice on Fire, Indigo and High 5.
The youth team is also celebrating its 20th anniversary Youth Week festival, which will provide a variety of events until May 17, from concerts by heavy bands and stand-up shows to sports activities, educational and children's workshops, and many other surprises.
SATURDAY
We love active and hiking Saturdays and what's after May 9, commemorating the liberation of Ljubljana in 1945, better than recreational hikes Pot ob zici! The starting points will be open between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m., and the finish line will be at the Congress Square by 5:00 p.m. The hike takes place along almost 35 km long route around Ljubljana, where the wire fence of the Italian and later German occupiers stood during the Second World War, which is why it got the name Pot ob zici.

If we are not exactly hikers, we can take advantage of a unique opportunity and go with we take the museum train along the Bohinjska line. For lovers of train rides, this two-hour long ride along the Bohinjska line will certainly be an unforgettable experience.
In the evening, an unprecedented concert will take place in Cankarjev dom. Hymn to the Green Jury, a musical based on folk motifs will perform three generation of the Tina Rožanc Folklore Group, and they will be joined on stage by guests, namely the Mixed Chamber Choir Ljubljana Madrigalists and soloists Karin Možina and Gregor Vovk.
SUNDAY
Sunday in Volčji Potok Arboretum can be downright relaxing, so it will do us good to take a few hours for a long walk, while the children can create on the free workshop Prints with tree leaves. At 11 a.m., they will collect leaves of different species, which they will then paint and print on paper, thus learning about the differences between different tree species.
And what do you say to a concert by a legend of the Brazilian and world music scene Caetano Velosa? Like a cherry on top of the cream! He will play his latest album in Cankarjev dom, and he will be accompanied on stage by famous musicians - Pedro Sá on guitar, Ricardo Dias Gomes on bass and keyboards and Marcello Callado on drums.
