The first shipment of snow reminded us that the year will soon turn around again and that the most popular holidays of the year will begin. In addition to the snow, the season will be opened by the lighting of the lights. Ljubljana, Maribor, Celje, Bled and other cities will shine in a festive atmosphere. This year, Ljubljana will turn on the lights a little later than usual. We will light them on the first day of December 2017. As every year, the event will be crowned with a short cultural program and a speech by the mayor.

Lighting of the lights in Maribor: November 24, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.

Maribor will illuminate its center with light a few days before the capital. The lights will go on there on November 24, 2017.

One day after the lights are switched on in Ljubljana, we will be able to jump to our third largest city and watch the event there. The lights will be lit in Celje on December 2, 2017. The event will be moderated by Janko and Diana from Radio Antena Štajerska.

If you are tired of the crowds in Ljubljana, you can go to Bled on December 1, 2017. There, the lights will be switched on at 5:00 p.m., when the Festive Promenade will also be opened, where it will be possible to buy interesting holiday gifts.

Zagreb is considered one of the most beautiful cities during Christmas in Europe. It's only a good hour's drive from us, so it's worth going to see it. The lights will be switched on on December 2, 2017.

Lighting of the lights in Vienna: November 18, 2017 at 4:30 p.m.

The lights will be switched on in the Austrian capital already on November 18, 2017 at 4:30 p.m. The opening will be accompanied by live music.
