There come moments in relationships when love is not important, it is not enough, and you must part ways.
Moments when you have to stop, take a deep breath and make a decision - for yourself.

They treat you badly
It doesn't matter how long you've been together or how much they claim to care about you - if they can't treat you nicely, then their feelings for you don't matter. Love does not replace disrespect. Love does not replace neglect. You deserve someone who loves you every day, not just when it's convenient.
You want different things in the future
If you don't agree on the big things, like where you want to put down roots or how many children you want to have, then it doesn't matter how much you love each other. If they stay together, one person will be disappointed. One person will give up on their dreams. One person will end up regretting it. While you may feel okay with the idea of making sacrifices for them now, the future will bring regrets.

If you cannot trust your partner, the relationship will fall apart. You have to believe that he/she is a person who will not do anything to hurt you. There's nothing wrong with general trust issues, but if you feel like you can't trust this person because of their past (or current) behavior, then you deserve someone else.
An emotionally turbulent past
Sometimes you can overcome your past problems and forgive each other. But sometimes mistakes are too big to forget. Sometimes you can't be together even though you love each other because things will never be the same. Things will never go back to the way they were before they crossed the line they shouldn't have crossed. Just because you love each other doesn't mean you're meant to be together.
You are not willing to put the work into the relationship
It takes two people to have a successful relationship. If one of them is not interested in putting effort into it and leaves everything to the other, such a relationship will not last.

You don't want to be with someone who doesn't make you a priority. You don't want to be in a relationship where the feelings are one sided. But with someone who is excited to spend their future with you. To the one who loves you as you love him. Anything less is less than you deserve.
You don't love anymore
Your person is supposed to be your best friend. You should be someone you can trust every day. If you have strong feelings for them, but a lot of little things they do bother you, then you shouldn't be together. Your love cannot replace your dislike.
