A baby turns your life upside down, in a good way of course, but travel will never be the same. Taking care that you have everything your little one will need while discovering the world, as well as taking care of his food, clothes and sleeping rhythm, make vacations different from what you have known before. "Babymoons" may thus be the only opportunity left to think only of your needs and desires on vacation and to spend your vacation with a book in your hands and carefree lounging on the beach.
What does "babymoon" mean?
The term is quite similar to "Honeymoon", i.e. honeymoon, and the purpose itself is quite similar. If honeymoons are meant for the newlyweds to enjoy togetherness and peace, the "babymoon" is also meant for quality time spent together before the couple is joined by a new family member. With the arrival of the baby, there are fewer and fewer such opportunities. Let's face it, the first months with a new family member are often like an amusement park ride, full of ups and downs. Babymoons are one of the rare opportunities to rest and gather energy before this wild ride.

When to go on a babymoon?
There are no rules, only wishes and recommendations. Most women decide to take a break during the second trimester, when their well-being is at its peak, and there is still enough time to prepare for a new family member. In the first trimester, morning sickness can cause you problems, and the last thing you want is to feel bad on vacation. The problem of the second trimester can be a big belly, because due to the approaching date of delivery, we feel more tired and less comfortable in our body.
Where to babymoon?
Here, too, the possibilities are endless. A babymoon can be just a short vacation, a weekend break or a week or two lying on the beach. The choice is yours. Before planning your trip, of course, consult your chosen doctor, who will give you some practical advice and confirm that you are in good condition for the trip. If you are choosing between more distant destinations, it is a good idea to make sure that only these are safe. Avoid countries with a high risk of Zika virus infection, which can cause birth defects. Also, avoid places with a high incidence of malaria, which can contribute to premature birth.
