Bar Ribarnica: selected cocktails and "specialty" coffee

Bar Ribarnica is located under the Plečnik arcades, on the Ljubljana market. As the name itself suggests, the bar is located in the continuation of the fish market, where it coexists with the Dobra vaga gallery. They have their own winter-summer garden under the Butcher's Bridge, and in the summer the garden will also be at street level next to the market.

Bar Ribarnica in the embrace of terrazzo, wood, brass and greenery and with a view of the Ljubljanica river, it offers every day (except Sunday). boutique "specialty" coffee, excellent homemade iced teas and other non-alcoholic homemade drinks, sweets and snacks ... In the evening after 5 p.m. (currently on Fridays and Saturdays), the place turns into a cocktail bar with almost 40 selected cocktails, made under the watchful eye of trained bartenders.

In Ribarnica, they want to move with cocktails in the direction of craft cocktails with selected quality ingredients. This is how they make their own syrups or cordials, and they also create them themselves ice for cocktails (ti clear ice), which they are cut by hand from larger blocks of ice and is transparent like glass due to a special manufacturing process.

What they managed to do by popularizing quality "specialty" coffee in the Moderna cafe, they are now building on in the world of cocktails. They want to see in Ljubljana quality, yet affordable cocktails. They are, of course, the bridge between these two worlds coffee cocktails, which they make from their house coffee liqueur.

They took care of the interior this time as well; they always try to ensure that the equipment does not take up space, if it has some quality of its own. Given that they are in Plečnik's environment, they are they just added their equipment to the original elements and designed the interior lightly, so that it coexists nicely with Plečnik's terracotta. They made chairs that allow you to sit low with a view of the Ljubljanica, and the main materials are: solid oak wood and brass, which also appears on the original faucets.

It complements all this nicely green vegetation. On the side of the counter, which was once the fishmonger's sales counter, they placed in the foreground very attractive high-end San Remo Cafe Racer coffee machine, which is the heart of the bar.

For garden furniture, they produced "community" tables, which are derived from classic picnic tables, but now upgraded in complete black.
