Electric bicycles are becoming an interesting and environmentally friendly alternative for urban transport. Urbanity and an interesting design, which was "committed" by former Formula 1 engineer Richard Thorpe, are the essence of the Gocycle electric bicycle. We rode it around the city for a week and were impressed by its agility and practicality - parking is no longer a problem, sweaty clothes are no longer a problem, because after the initial pedaling, the 250-watt electric motor in the front wheel starts driving the bike when the red button is pressed. Unfortunately the button doesn't work like a motorcycle throttle, that is to say it would be possible to "measure" the speed, but if you wanted to go slower than the 24km/h top speed, you had to release it and then press it again when we lose speed. This should be good advice for their engineers when they develop the second generation gocycle to flirt more with motorcycles. The brakes on both wheels are disc and mechanically controlled, but still do their job with distinction. Replacing a flat tube in special 20-inch tires as well as dismounting the wheels is easy thanks to this pitstop mechanism. One of the important features of Gocycle is the easy disassembly and assembly of the bike, which can then be stored, for example, in a bag (extra charge) and in the trunk of a car. The bike weighs 16.2 kg, including a 9 Ah nickel-metal hydride battery that charges in 3.5 hours and has a range of 13-32 km. When the energy runs out, there are pedals and a three-speed gearbox. The greasy chain, which usually contaminates the clothes, is not heard of - it is hidden in the case. Borrowed from the Aequalis shop, Koprska 100, Ljubljana.
