Xiaomi-led Poco has launched two smartphones, the X4 Pro 5G and the M4 Pro, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 in Barcelona. Both impress with exceptional high-end specifications – and at prices typically found in the mid-range.

At the launch, Poco described the X4 Pro 5G as a “flagship smartphone” that is generating excitement with a price starting at €299.90. Looking at the data sheet, we can easily say: Here you actually get more premium features for your money - just like the predecessor, by the way: Poco's X4 Pro 5G succeeded the X3 GT, which is a sub-brand of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi launched in July 2021. The price-performance combination with powerful specifications for a small budget was already convincing last year. The cheaper model has 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, while the more expensive model (€349.90) has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage space.
Additionally, the Poco X4 Pro 5G relies on a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) and a 120Hz refresh rate. The sampling rate is even 360 Hz. Every time you scroll or drag on the screen, there is less delay, the manufacturer points out. In addition, the smartphone can "automatically adjust its brightness to the environment," says Poco. And by doing so, it cleverly saves the battery. On the back there are three camera lenses, among which the main sensor with an impressive 108 megapixels stands out. This is joined by an ultra-wide-angle lens with a resolution of 8 MP and a macro camera with 2 MP. A 16 MP selfie camera is placed on the front of the smartphone. Inside the X4 Pro 5G is an octa-core Snapdragon 695 5G processor. According to company representatives, the 5,000 mAh battery should allow 15 hours of video playback or 191 hours of music playback at the same time. Which is really huge! But if you run out of energy juice, the smartphone is ready for use again in a short time thanks to the 67 W turbo charging.
