A delicious post-holiday detox

A month of various vices is behind us. Work parties, meetings with friends, visits to relatives and the celebration of Christmas and New Year are definitely to blame for the fact that in December we indulged in a little more, a little more sweet and fatty.

Although it seems to us that during the holidays we drank and ate as many cocktails and bad food as we weigh ourselves, we can rest easy because we have selected and prepared some recipes for delicious detox smoothies that will help us cleanse the body from the inside in January.

Detoxifying smoothies have many positive effects, as they improve digestion in a simple way, strengthen the immune system, reduce the possibility of infections, eliminate headaches and certain allergies, and restore the skin's shine. During the (too) fast pace of life, drinking vegetable and fruit drinks ensures that we maintain an ideal pH balance in the body, because with them we ensure the intake of basic food, which increases the level of oxygen and stimulates the growth of healthy cells in the body. Smoothies are an ideal alternative to unhealthy snacks, as they contain an abundance of vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants, which ensure excellent well-being throughout the day.

The charm of smoothies also lies in the fact that their preparation is quick, and the taste is absolutely fantastic with the right recipe.

Green smoothie with mango:
• almond milk
• coconut water
• 2 leaves of fresh Swiss chard
• ½ avocado
• ½ mango

Refreshing Green Smoothie:
• 1 apple
• 1 banana
• 1 orange
• juice of ½ lemon
• 2 leaves of fresh Swiss chard
• water

Invigorating Green Smoothie:
• chilled green tea
• 2 leaves of fresh Swiss chard
• 1 banana
• 1/3 fresh pineapple
• juice of ½ lemon
• a spoonful of flax seeds

Green smoothie with ginger:
• carrot juice
• banana
• a bowl of blueberries
• 1 kiwi
• a piece of fresh ginger
• 1 leaf of fresh Swiss chard
• 1 leaf of green cabbage
• a spoonful of flax seeds

Preparation process:
Cut all the ingredients into pieces and mix in a blender. If the Swiss chard is older, remove the white, hard parts and cut into pieces and add to the other ingredients. Adjust the amount of milk, water and ice to your own taste and gradually add it to achieve your favorite texture.

In addition to delicious and healthy recipes, we have some tips for us to start the new year as successfully and vitally as possible:
• let's start the day with lukewarm lemonade, the basic lemon juice has an extremely healing effect on our body, as it establishes the ideal pH and thus eliminates the acidity of the body;
• drink at least eight glasses of water a day - the more water we drink, the more toxins we flush from the body;
• give up sugar and processed carbohydrates, at least for a short time;
• reduce salt intake;
• replace the morning coffee with green tea, which is full of antioxidants;
• include healthy fats in the diet, which are hidden in coconut butter, linseed oil, avocado, seeds and nuts;
• avoid fatty foods and prefer fresh fruits and vegetables;
• visit the sauna, because toxins are eliminated even faster from our body due to increased sweating;
• treat yourself to a massage that invigorates the lymphatic system and thus the elimination of toxic substances from the body.
