Eurasia: the first passenger vehicle tunnel connecting Europe and Asia

A five-kilometer tunnel under the Bosphorus Strait shortens the journey between Europe and Asia from almost two hours to nothing 15 minutes! There will be a charge for driving between the two sides of Istanbul 3.5 euros.

Eurasia Tunnel, which joins the railway crossing under the same strait Marmaray – it has been open since October 2013, and since then it has already undergone renovations 156 million trips –, started construction in 2011 and has two floors and will significantly relieve traffic in the largest Turkish city. In August, Turkey also opened the third bridge across the Bosphorus Strait, which is considered to be one of the largest suspension bridges in the world, and another is opening soon in the Turkish economic capital the third airport.
