On the World Day of Puppet Theater and Puppets, the National Museum of Slovenia opened an exhibition of 100 years of Slovenian puppetry.
"There is little awareness visual artists, who know that creating dolls is a special branch fine arts – for integral fine art in motion, space and time, because for a puppet show the artist creates all the performing "persons" - dolls according to your idea, place them in the appropriate space; character and space create a mutual message consonance or contrast." That's what she said Agata Freyer, which is together with Edi Majaron designed the exhibition 100 years of Slovenian fine art.
The exhibition is under management Mini Theater Ljubljana and Unime Slovenia prepared by Slovenian puppet theaters, the Theater Museum of Slovenia, the Museum of Recent History of Slovenia and the National Museum of Slovenia. As they pointed out, visual dramaturgy is a complex visual genre, which is in no way a reduced "big scene", but with its surreal and surprising laws, requires spatial imagination. The exhibition displays a wonderful selection doll the most important Slovenian visual artists who designed puppets for Slovenian puppet theaters from the beginning of the 20th century until recent years. There are more than two hundred on display doll of the most important Slovenian artists and technologists of the last century. On June 8, the exhibition moves from Ljubljana to Belgrade, Kotor, Bar, Zagreb, Subotica, Novi Sad and Budapest.
