In an age where the daily juggling of apps and digital tasks has become part of our daily lives, Google promises a solution with a new update to its AI assistant called Gemini. Gemini, which builds on the already established Google Assistant, promises more intuitive and versatile assistance to users, but at the same time reveals some limitations that are typical of Google services.

In a world where opening a new app or switching between screens can be emotionally taxing, Google promises relief with a new version of its AI assistant, Gemini. However, despite its great promise, Gemini reveals both the potential and the frustrations that accompany the advancement of artificial intelligence technology.

So Gemini is a renamed AI assistant Bard, which will get expanded options and the ability to use applications within the Google account.

That's right Google Gemini, designed as a successor to the well-known Google Assistant, was introduced with the aim of offering users more intuitive and versatile assistance in everyday digital tasks. Gemini's ability to read email, suggest routes with Google Maps, and edit documents in Google Docs represents a major step forward in integrating AI into our lives.

In practice Gemini promises, to simplify many tasks, such as summarizing booking details or planning your route home. However, when it comes to more complex questions or contextual understanding, Gemini still feels like a "let Google Maps find it for you" machine. For example, when asked for suggestions for activities in the neighborhood, Gemini suggested a range of activities that were technically possible but not necessarily practical or meaningful.

One of the greatest achievements Gemini is integration with Google services such as Gmail, Google Maps and Google Docs, which enables direct export of answers and suggestions. This represents a significant improvement over previous assistants, where responses often felt like they were “floating in space”.

Nevertheless, Gemini still shows some limitations, such as a lack of ability to understand context and limited access to some Google services, for example calendar. These shortcomings point to the need for further development and integration before Gemini can truly become a versatile digital assistant, which users want.

Google Gemini is a promising new addition to the world of digital assistants, offering a glimpse into a future where AI will play a key role in simplifying our digital tasks. Although Gemini represents a step forward in the integration of artificial intelligence into our daily lives, there are still challenges to overcome. In the future, we can expect further improvements and perhaps even a complete transformation of the way we interact with our digital assistants. For now, however, Gemini remains a fascinating, if sometimes frustrating, glimpse into what the future holds.
