IKEA Festival 2021: see the homes of world-famous musicians, designers and chefs

IKEA is celebrating the best of living at home with a 24-hour virtual festival that will take place on Thursday, September 16, 2021, via the website ikea.com. Visitors to the virtual festival will be able to peek into the homes of world-famous musicians, designers and chefs, who will turn their homes into virtual stages for one day. It is a completely new festival concept that opens the doors of more than 100 homes in more than 50 countries around the world and inspires better and more sustainable living at home, while also providing practical ideas for renovations.

The festival will start at 8 o'clock in the morning, and every hour a new activity is planned on the website. At 9:00 a.m., the most curious will be able to participate in the opening of a unique IKEA stores in Vienna, which focuses on sustainability. There, instead of parking spaces for cars, there are only parking spaces for bicycles, and the store is decorated with trees on all floors. It will be at 12:00 Virgil Abloh, one of the most famous designers of today, with whom IKEA has already collaborated on the MARKERAD collection, opened the doors of his studio in Paris. All video game enthusiasts will be able to take a peek at the new gaming collection at 3 p.m., which will be presented in her home by one of the most famous Swedish gamers Sandra Österlund. Lovers of the IKEA brand will also be able to travel through time in the digital IKEA museum, which will be available throughout the festival as on-demand content.
