RECIPE FOR THE BEST HOMEMADE BREAD

Ingridients

  • 625 ml of lukewarm water
  • 21 g dry yeast or 30 g fresh yeast
  • 1 kg of all-purpose flour and some additional flour to sprinkle on the bread

Preparation

On a large, clean surface, shape the flour into a pile and make a space for a "well" in the middle. Pour half of the water into it, add yeast, half a spoonful of sea salt (you can also add two spoonfuls of sugar), mix with a fork. Slowly, with confidence, transfer the flour into the interior of the "well", but do not rush, so that the water does not spill over the entire surface. Continue to make a heavy mushy dough, then add the remaining water. Shape the dough further. Form a ball with clean, floured hands and, if necessary, add as much flour as you need so that the dough does not stick to your hands.

Transfer the dough to a floured surface and continue to knead for 5 minutes or until you have a silky and elastic dough. Shape the dough into a rough ball, place in a bowl, sprinkle with flour and cover with a clean damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for about an hour, an hour and a half, or until the volume of the dough has doubled. When the dough has doubled in size, “beat” it and knead alternately to expel the air. Shape it into a ball again and let it rise for an additional 30 minutes to an hour to double the dough again.

Heat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and carefully place the bread in the oven. Close the oven door slowly. Bake for about 25 to 30 minutes or until the bread is golden. Once baked, let it cool! Have a good run!
