Three years after the introduction of the Mavic 2 series, DJI returns with the highly anticipated Mavic 3 and Mavic 3 Cine. And they offer a lot to both hobby pilots and professionals.
New model they weigh 7 grams less than previous models and are the first professional and compact folding drones to have a dual camera. At the bottom is a Hasselblad co-production camera with a Four Thirds 20MP sensor, and at the top is a 12MP 1/2″ CMOS telephoto camera.
The standard and Cine models share most of their hardware, but the more expensive “Cine” version adds 1TB of internal storage and the ability to capture using the ProRes 422 HQ codec. The Cine model is only available as a “combo pack” Fly more pack that includes three batteries, two sets of ND filters and a more sophisticated DJI RC Pro controller.
DJI's Mavic 3, which bridges the gap between entry-level consumer and professional models, is both very powerful and user-friendly. At the center is a 20-megapixel Hasselblad sensor with a 24mm lens that can take 12-bit photos RAW in full resolution and 5.1K video at 50 frames per second, and a companion 28x f/4.4 hybrid zoom lens for close-up. Omni-directional obstacle detection prevents you from bumping into things while performing automated shots, ActiveTrack 5.0 and subject tracking enables effective hands-free photography and videography. Offering up to 46 minutes of flight time on a single charge, the upgraded portable system has a maximum range of more than “nine miles” – so 14.5 kilometers and is available in standard or Cine versions, the latter offering support for Apple ProRes 422 HQ and a built-in 1TB SSD.

In addition to all the camera improvements, DJI has also upgraded its autonomous features for the Mavic 3. Like its predecessor, the Mavic 3 also has omni-directional obstacle detection, except that the sensors are now capable of detecting objects as far away as 200m, compared to 20m before.

The Fly More Combo adds two extra batteries, a charging hub, four sets of propellers, a case that also converts to a backpack, and a set of ND filters (ND4, ND8, ND16 and ND32). The Fly More Combo will cost you 2,799 euros.
And the last package is the Cine Premium Combo, which means you won't be able to buy the Cine version of the Mavic 3 without spending more money on the accessories that come with it – including the brand new DJI RC Pro. It's a remote control similar to the DJI Smart Controller that has a bright display in the console itself. The Cine Premium combo also includes an additional set of ND filters (ND64, ND128, ND256, ND512), which you won't find in the Fly More Combo. The Cine Premium Combo package will cost you 4,799 euros.
