The new Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe: twin to its GLE Coupe brother

The Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe is a hybrid between a crossover and a coupe. After all, it's an SUV, which it's not, because it's a coupe. You can hold your head at this sentence, but the fact is that the trend of urban SUVs and their derivatives is not slowing down, rather, all manufacturers want their piece of the pie. Even Mercedes-Benz, which with the new GLC Coupe is stepping into a very special niche, in which the BMW X4 reigned until now.

New ones Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe it looks exactly as if Mercedes had a machine capable of shrinking the car by around 30 percent. After all, no one will miss that it is actually a miniature giant GLE Coupe, which we have already written about and also tested. The differences are really few, maybe in the rear part and the slightly lower and even more aggressive side silhouette. The rest remains to be seen and expected.

Video presentation of Mercedes GLC Coupe and Robert Lešnik:

From the classic GLC it is slightly longer (8 centimeters) and wider (4 centimeters). Since the wheelbase has been slightly extended, the interior space intended for 5 passengers should be preserved. There's something hidden in the back 491 liters, which is not a little considering the shape and silhouette. The GLC Coupe sits on 18-inch wheels as standard, but larger ones can of course be purchased.

Initially, two engines will be available, a diesel with 200 horses and a gasoline engine with only 7 horses more. Later, the range will also be supplemented with a plug-in hybrid.

We will provide you with more information when the vehicle is presented for the Slovenian market.
