In general, the new design style of the latest Peugeot generations is very interesting and lends itself to the newest member as well. The body shape is extremely dynamic and sporty. The extremely attractive light signature, not only of the front part, but also of the rear, is also unmistakable.
The interior is also completely new and brings a new 10-inch digital i-Cockpit, which is also available in 3D technology in the highest-end GT trim, while the central 10-inch multimedia screen is completely new and now comes under the Peugeot i-Connect name . The Allure trim package also includes virtual i-switches that can be customized and replace the physical buttons above the climate controls.
The new 308 it is 11 cm longer (4.36 m) and 2 cm lower (1.44 m), and the wheelbase has been increased by 5.5 cm and now measures 2,675 cm. The trunk is slightly smaller than its predecessor and has a volume of 412 liters, and by folding the rear seats, the volume increases to 1,323 liters.
The engine range starts with a 110bhp and 130bhp 1.2-litre turbo petrol, with the more powerful also available with an EAT8 automatic transmission, while the diesel range consists of just the 130bhp 1.5-litre turbodiesel, with buyers choosing between manual or automatic transmission. The 308 is now also available in plug-in hybrid versions – with 180 hp and 225 hp, both versions combined with the e-EAT8 automatic transmission.
It should also be mentioned that the new Peugeot 308 is equipped with all the latest safety systems, as well as driver assistance systems, and is manufactured where its predecessor is - at the Mulhouse plant in France, and will arrive on our market by the end of this year. However, due to new technologies, the price will be slightly higher than its predecessor. This is already a standard in the industry.
