Only intelligent people will confess this sin

All intelligent people are adorned with one very valuable thing, which is basically also a proof of their intelligence.

Smart people adapt more easily to new and unfamiliar situations. If they find themselves in an unpleasant situation, they will cope with it more easily. Mainly it is they focus on their work and are very persistent. They are witty, curious and open to new ideas. They also have one interesting feature in common: they know they don't know everything.

Intelligent people realize that they don't know everything!
Intelligent people realize that they don't know everything!

Although this sounds contradictory at first glance, it is completely true. Intelligent people will always admit without hesitation that, for example, they are not completely sure about something or that they are not sufficiently educated about something. Phrase "I do not know" it is not shameful for them. Namely, only those who know that they do not know everything are willing to invest extra effort in learning in order to be better in a certain area.

On the other hand, less intelligent people have trouble admitting their ignorance. By pretending to know something when they don't, they risk making certain moves that can even put them in danger. This is called The Dunning-Kruger effect (it is named after the researchers, social psychologists Dunning and Kruger) and we have probably all witnessed its realization. Just think of some family or friend gatherings when one of the members boldly claims yes he is right and that the opinion of others is stupid, that they are not properly informed and that they are simply wrong. Nevertheless, it is clear to everyone in that room (except the loud member) that he has no idea about the things he is saying, yet he continues in his ignorance. You can find the original study at this link.

In summary - you know how they teach us: there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers. So remember that it's never a shame to ask and seek advice from those with more experience!
