2017 represents an offensive year for the Opel brand. As many as 7 models will be renewed or completely new. We are among the first to present to you the conqueror of the sedan market and business hearts, the Opel Insignia Grand Sport.
Opel Insignia started writing her story years ago 2008. When we saw her for the first time, we were all united and agreed that she looked like a force likeable. The new model is no different this time, it is suitable for the times and more modern, and even more interesting and seductive to look at. The new Insignia will conquer the market with a wide selection of innovations that can be found mainly in the highest class. It will get under the skin of drivers due to its agility and driving dynamics, and it will impress passers-by sporty and elegant coupé lines. The designers definitely made sure that it will be the leading car in the brand's range Opel noticeable at first glance.
Design Insignia definitely is exciting, but they stand out more in the new one advanced technology and assistance systems. Grand Sport is the only car of the brand so far Opel, which enables projection display on the windshield. This increases safety, as the driver does not have to take his eyes off the road. Assistance systems participate in emergency braking, help with lane keeping, point to possible collision and recognize pedestrians. It's for our convenience Opel again offered ergonomic headquarters of AGR, where the driver also has a massage and ventilation. Already a well-known system OnStar has been upgraded and can now book a hotel room or find an empty and suitable parking space for you with the help of an assistant.
Driving the Insignia Grand Sport is very comfortable and polished. Thanks go mainly to the lighter design, which enables responsive acceleration with agile control. The car has grown in almost all dimensions, especially in those that have been subject to criticism until now. The seating height has been lowered and thereby contributed to a more sporty feeling behind the wheel. Passengers have the back plenty of space for the legs, and the space for the shoulders and hips has also increased. For additional 130 liters the luggage space has increased, which can be expanded up to 1665 liters.
The Insignia has the latest power units at its disposal. Petrol they can from 140 to 260 horsepower, diesel but from 110 to 170 horsepower. A noticeable improvement is seen in the petrol 1.5-litre turbo engine, which replaces the old 1.6-litre. It is a surprising fact that the smaller engine is for what 16 kilograms lighter from the predecessor. The most powerful among the aggregates is certainly the 2-liter gasoline engine with a car 260 horsepower. In addition to manual six-speed gearbox, you can also consider eight-speed automatic transmission, which we witnessed for the first time in the Opel brand.
As in Asters At Insignia there is also a great emphasis on matrix headlights IntelliLux. The technology of these smart lights automatically switches between high beam and dipped beam and never blinds oncoming drivers. It's with Astra 35 percent share of cars with smart headlights, and with the Insignia this percentage will probably increase higher.
At the beginning, they will introduce themselves 2 bodywork version of the Insignia, namely coupe Grand Sport and caravan Sports Tourer. In September will be at the auto show in Frankfurt another version presented Country Tourer. All Insignias will have 4 different trims: Insignia, Edition, Dynamic and Innovation. For the entry-level Insignia with a 1.5-liter unit, 140 horsepower and Insignia equipment, it will be necessary to pay 22,100 euros. The best performance with a 2-liter diesel engine, 210 horsepower and Innovation equipment must be deducted 34,850 euros.
