The film, inspired by a real event, intertwines the destinies of people who were forever marked by a heroic act from the past.
Bosnia, 1993. Serbian soldier Marko he is in the company of friends when he notices three comrades brutally beating him Muslim civilian Haris. Marko he intervenes and saves him, but the soldiers gang up on him and beat him to death. Year 2005. K Harris, who in the meantime started a family in Germany, flees from a violent husband and takes refuge Mark's ex-girlfriend. V Belgrade you Marko's best friend Nebojša, now a prominent surgeon, faces a dilemma when the leader of a trio of soldiers finds himself on his operating table. K Mark's father, which in Trebinje is building a church, a young man, who turns out to be the son of one of the murderers, approaches with a request for work.
The movie Circles are the most awarded Serbian film last year, winner of the Special Jury Prize at Sundance, the Ecumenical Jury Prize in Berlin and the Audience Prize in Sarajevo.
