  • 350-450 g of chicken meat
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/3 cup water
  • Ingredients for orange sauce:
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 tsp grated orange peel
  • 4-6 tablespoons of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine for cooking
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons of cold water
  • For decoration:
  • sesame
  • spring onions

Directions

  1. Mix cornstarch and flour in a bowl, then add sesame oil, soy sauce, pepper and mix well. Add the water and egg whites and mix until the mixture is smooth. If necessary, add a little more water.
  2. Roll the sliced white meat in the prepared mixture, then fry it.
  3. Pour the cooking rice wine into a large pan or wok, then add the chopped garlic. Pour over the fried ingredients with orange juice, grated orange peel, sugar, soy sauce, rice vinegar and grated ginger. Mix well, and when the sauce starts to boil, add the starch that was previously mixed with water. Stir and cook until the sauce thickens.
  4. Add the previously fried meat to the sauce and mix well.
  5. Finally, serve the dish sprinkled with chopped spring onion and fried sesame.
