Recipe: French Silk Pie, a quick and easy dessert

French silk pie it has an Oreo cookie crust, a rich and creamy filling, and whipped cream on top! Dessert does not contain eggs and is perfect for the upcoming holidays.

Ingridients

For the dough

  • 230 g of Oreo cookies
  • 3 tablespoons of melted butter

For the filling

  • 260 g of sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 30 g of melted cooking chocolate
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • 140 g butter (room temperature)
  • 300 ml of cream
  • 4 teaspoons of powdered sugar

For the dressing

  • 230 ml of cream
  • 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • chocolate shavings or cocoa powder

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease a pie pan with butter (you can also use cooking spray). Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs, add the melted butter and mix with the help of a multi-tasker until a homogeneous mass is formed. Transfer the mass to the pan and press it against the bottom. Bake for 10 minutes. Allow to cool completely. Mix sugar and eggs in a small pan. Stir constantly over medium-high heat, but do not let it boil. Remove from the heat and stir in the melted chocolate and vanilla. Allow to cool and stir occasionally. Using an electric mixer, mix the butter (2 to 3 minutes). Gradually add the cooled chocolate mixture and mix on high for 5 minutes until foamy. In a clean bowl, beat the cream with an electric mixer and then mix in the sugar. Mix the cream with the sugars into the chocolate mixture. Spread the mixture evenly over the dough. Let it cool for 6 hours. Using an electric mixer, beat the cream, sugar and vanilla on high. Spread evenly over the top and decorate with chocolate shavings or cocoa powder. So sweet good run!
