Watermelon is definitely one of the symbols of summer and there is simply no better refreshment than it. Have you tried ice cream made from it, without sugar and with only 3 ingredients?

We mostly eat it fresh, but it often happens that we buy too big a fruit that we don't manage to eat right away, and when it stays in the fridge for too long, it loses both its taste and smell.

This watermelon ice cream recipe is a great way to cool down, refresh, and use up leftover fruit, and it's easy to make with just 3 ingredients.

Directions

  1. Peel and pit the watermelon, cut it into cubes, put it in a freezer bag and leave it to freeze overnight.
  2. Put it in a blender, sprinkle it with lemon and add milk and blend to get a compact ice mixture.
  3. Transfer to a bowl that can be stored in the freezer. Leave for a while in the freezer.
  4. If desired, garnish with fresh mint leaves or a few slices of lemon. If you don't eat it all right away, cover the ice cream and put it back in the freezer.
