Preparation of the royal wedding cake:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Carefully mix the baking powder and flour in a bowl. In another bowl, prepare and mix the butter, sugar and elderberry syrup to obtain a uniform mass. Then carefully add one egg at a time. At the end, add flour mixed with baking powder.
Line two baking trays with a depth of about 20 cm with baking paper. Pour the mixture into the baking dish and bake for about 25 minutes. When the dough is baked, cut each one in half and pour the elderberry and lemon syrup over it. Let stand for 20 minutes to allow the cake to absorb the syrup.
Mix the icing sugar, butter, milk and lemon well with an electric mixer until fluffy, then add the lemon juice and elderberry syrup and mix.
