Plums are in season right now and sometimes we don't know what to make of them. Why not make a plum cake that tastes like plum dumplings, but it's faster and incredibly creamy.
Be different, combine tradition and innovation. Dumplings from two fillings. Crazy.
Plum cake
Ingredients
- plums 1. filling
- 350 g of breadcrumbs
- 100 g of sugar
- 2 bags of vanilla sugar
- 100 ml of oil
- 2 tablespoons of cinnamon 2. filling:
- 1 liter of milk
- 150 g of sugar
- 1 baking powder
- 2 bags of vanilla sugar
- 1 egg
- 160 g semolina
- 90 g of butter
Directions
- Mix all the ingredients for 1 filling and set aside.
- For the 2nd filling - separate 300 ml of milk and mix with all ingredients except butter. Boil 700 ml of milk, add the previous mixture and cook until it thickens. At the end, add the heated butter and mix.
- Pour half of the crumb mixture into the baking dish, then spread the plums, then the second filling and finally the rest of the crumb mixture.
- Bake at 180 degrees (no fan) for about 45 minutes. Wait for it to cool and serve.
